Now that we are in the digital era you must be careful online, and I’m not limiting this to dating strangers. The stuff you read online you need to take with a grain of salt. You might want to argue with me but just because an image shows a pie graph of some intelligent statistics, it is not always true. Just today I read this totally stupid table about how much individuals make from charitable organizations. Not only did people prove it wrong by saying the data is outdated but many fail to understand that this picture has no sources. I think you also need to know that not 100% of your donations will go directly to those affected…there needs to funds allocated to marketing, HR, volunteers, etc. You are telling me volunteers should be unpaid – yes you are right but should they not be compensated with small treats or clothing for their hard work? So before you accept/disagree with images posted on your FB feed, take the time to do some research. Charities are taking a bit hit from this image and I can’t imagine what is going to happen in the future. I’m not saying that all organizations are efficient in handling money but to a certain extent, what you are doing will help those i need.
Anyways enough of my rant let’s take a look at ZenQ.
8333 Kennedy Rd Markham, ON L3R4P8
This dessert place is located behind T&T which means it gets quite busy over the weekend. On weeknights you won’t have any problem finding a parking spot.
Probably the best service you can get in any dessert place lols. The guy at the front could not stop telling us about their products and did a really good job in describing what was in it. He even went on to talk about which ones were more popular and pointed out discounts/promotions (10%). This guy I’m telling you was awesome at his job. He must either be the owner’s friend or just loving life lols.
Boring. LOL. Anyhow, they have something called Q-balls which are multi-coloured and chewy in nature. The menus are plastered all over the restaurant walls so you won’t miss it, including their business cards lol. So why did I say the food is boring? Other than the Q-balls everything is below average. I’m paying $6-7+ for a bowl of dessert that doesn’t excite my taste buds. It’s honestly too expensive. You know I pay like $9+ for crepes and waffles at Demetres but their portions are not only big, they are fucking delicious. The only thing people complain about at Demetres is their wait time. And even if we were to go to another Asian dessert place, they would offer more variety. ZenQ specializes in bubble tea (which Markham has too many of already) and desserts that can be purchased elsewhere without toppings. If prices were lower and I mean $3 less, I might consider coming back.
My rating: 6.8/10 (I haven’t given low ratings for a long time. At least the interior design wasn’t bad)
Others would rate it as: 7.0/10
